Bio: Sven Berkemeier and Rich Samuels have been collaborating on varies projects for over 25 years. Some of their early work includes documentaries such as “Chris Nichols: The Googieman,” and “Kafkaesque,” the story of Egon Kafka, collector of vintage transit buses, urban philosopher, and distant cousin of legendary existentialist Franz Kafka. The film played at numerous film festivals worldwide.
Sven Berkemeier went on to produce non-fiction and documentary programs for networks such as Discovery, History & Curiosity Stream. His work has spanned from current to historic to science to science fiction. Credits include the Emmy nominated “Eisenhower Biography,” “Secret Missions of the Civil War,” “The Conquerors,” “Combat Zone,” “The Universe,” “Life After People,” “WWII in 3D,” “Miniverse” (featuring International Space Station Commander Chris Hadfield), and the recently completed “Return to the Moon.”
Rich Samuels is a writer and media professional— the creator of four young adult novels and non-fiction video content, including news and documentary shorts and features. He’s the recipient of three Emmy awards for his producing work, and was a featured guest on the iconic “Connie Martinson Talks Books,” discussing his critically-acclaimed novel, “My Life at the Bottom of the Food Chain.”
